Masculine Birthday Card Using Christmas Supplies!

Happy New Year!  It's a happy one for me as I finished my radiation therapy on Tuesday!  Yay!  My radiation oncologist advised me to expect one month of healing for every week of radiation therapy . . . so that means about six months.  (Of course, this eternal optimist is hoping sooner as I'm anxious to complete my reconstruction!)  That puts me right back into God's waiting room!  He's been so faithful to me over these past months and has continued to sustain me both physically and spiritually . . .  I will continue to put my trust in His plan and not mine . . . so I wait and continue to claim Isaiah 40:31,  "but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."  Every time I recall this verse, I can't help but add the lines of an old song, "Teach me, Lord. Teach me Lord, to wait."  I'm still learning, but needless to say, it IS a happy new year for me!  I don't know exactly what to expect, but I want to"soar" in this new year!

Wings Like Eagles

Every once in a while I have an idea that makes me giddier than usual . . . this is one of them!  (My inspiration came from a Christmas card my friend, Julie Salva made, but I wanted to use the layout for something else!)  I don't know why, but masculine card ideas don't come as easily for me . . . maybe you can relate!  I chose to turn a Christmas card into a masculine birthday card!  I love that the pine trees and deer from the Santa's Sleigh Thinlits Dies and the Warmth & Cheer Paper Stack all worked perfectly together to make a guy birthday card! (Bonus . . . the Warmth & Cheer Paper Stack is half price as part of the Year End Close-Out Sale!)
