To Stamp Or Not To Stamp . . . STAMP!

Early in my diagnosis, it was difficult to know just what life would look like going forward.  Would I be able to continue doing the things that I love and bring me joy while going through chemo?  I'm so grateful for those that gave me permission to think it through and to be flexible with me!  My team and customers have been an incredible support by giving me permission to take time to figure things out, to be flexible, and take one day at a time!  I think I'm over the hump of the side effects from my first chemo treatment last Thursday, other than needing to sit and rest more often!  I know I've already shared that I'm not the best receiver in the world (God is giving me plenty of opportunity to practice!)  I also tend to think I can tough things out and I'm learning to take doctor's and nurse's orders so I can keep up as much of my "normal" activities as possible.  So far, so good as long as I follow the rules and listen to my body . . . and receive the wonderful help that has been offered by others!

My bucket was filled this weekend as I was able to continue with plans to celebrate successes of my team members!  My event was called Stampapalooza stamping and it was an event earned by team members that invited someone to join Stampin' Up! with them or promoted to a new title!  The day was my treat for taking a risk and working toward something new!  I had over 30 earn the event and was thrilled that as many could attend as did!  Of course, we stamped, laughed, and had special treats (buntinis from NothingBundtCake)  YUM!

Here's a little favor I had fun planning for them!  I use the Tiny Treat Boxes (You get 25 for $7!) and the Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper to add a band around them.  We all need and love a little bling now and then!  Aren't they adorbs?  I think they would make great favors for a bridal shower!

While the content was nothing extravagant, it was meant to be fun and it was!  I'm sorry I didn't take photos of some of them sucking on their ring pops while stamping!

I don't think I'm unusual in that sometimes I need a reminder to do more of the things that make me happy!  I knew I had to have the Hello Life stamp set just for that stamp!  Planning and prepping for Saturday made me happy!  Looking forward to the joy that it would bring others, made me even more happy!  No wonder my bucket was filled that day!

Here's a little project I designed for them to make to decorate their creative space  . . . wherever that is in their home.  Here's mine stamped with the colors I chose.  It was so fun to see the variety when everyone finished with their own creative color combinations for the their framed art!

Framed Art

I purchased a variety of black 4 x 6 frames at the dollar store.  The art is stamped on Stampin' Up! Coaster Board.  I had never used it and it stamped so nicely!  It gives the appearance of watercolor . . . which was a bonus!  We used the Work of Art and Hello Life stamp sets and the sentiment was stamped with Black Archival Ink.

Here are some of the gals enjoying our stamping day together and showing off the wonderful variety of art they made!

They also were treated to a class that I'll be sharing in May!  I will keep that one a secret for a bit yet . . . but stay tuned, it will be May before you know it!
