Fun DIY Summer Cards Featuring Punch/Framelit Art Watermelons

I love me some watermelon . . . and some watermelon cards!  The cards I'm sharing today caught my eye as I viewed the display boards at convention.  After taking photos of more cards than I could possibly make in the 16 years I've been a demonstrator, I've learned to only take photos of ones I will potentially make.  These will be my inspiration for a watermelon card of my own!

Unfortunately I'm not able to give credit as the name on the back was impossible to see.  If they're your cards, thanks for sharing!

Watermelon Card 1

Love the use of the B & W paper (Everyday Chic Designer Series paper) for the background on this one!

Watermelon Card 2

Love the use of the Gorgeous Grunge stamps to enhance the details on the watermelon!  Gotta love the "bite" taken out with the 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch!  Do you see the details in the stamps below?

Watermelon Card 3

Little things are always cute . . . and little watermelons created with various Circle Punches are no exception!

The sentiment "so sweet" on cards 2 & 3 is from the Project Life stamp set Hello Life!  It's a perfect sentiment to use with watermelons!   Hello Life Images

All of the samples used Cucumber Crush cardstock for the rind and of course, Watermelon Wonder cardstock for the fruit! It's so fun to come home from convention with so many ideas!  Stay tuned for more to come next week!
